Indian Mobile Advertising and Consumers

Over the last few years the advertising industries in India are trying hard for mobile advertising and they got success to implement – a little bit.
Reported by Google India declared as the 2nd biggest consumer of mobile internet. It is really impressive but not good enough for Indian marketers it seems. They are spending huge money on mobile advertising.
Mobile Advertising, especially display advertising is a very new concept. There many brands is coming with this new concept but there are few brands are ruling on mobile advertising like Airtel, Reebok, Yamaha, Sony, Samsung, ESPN and Cricinfo.com.
Mobile advertising is 5-6 time better in delivering ROI(Return of Investment) than online advertising. But we can never forget our best competitor which is digital marketing. We can not avoid them. Actually they are not our competitor. Because every where we work with them so I told best competitor. We encourage each other.
The Indian Mobile advertising hasn’t grown as much as we hoped because 3G capabilities of the country are not advanced enough yet. In globally Indian mobile advertising is far and far away compare to other countries. It is very popular and useful in some country like Australia, US, Japan, Ukrain, UK, Brazil etc. Everyone has mobile phone in today’s time and it is vastly different from PC so hope in next 5 or 6 years Indian mobile advertising will grow as much as we are expecting.

Google Adsense Monetizing, Traffic, Testing Tips, Tricks And Resources

Google Adsense is the most common revenue generators for blogs and websites and probably also the most easier way how to earn money, start to make some income, if You got already niche blog and some traffic. I started with Adsense too, I am not going specifics about numbers, but income is pretty motivating to keep going and think about monetizing. Also remember not to overact, setting up too much advertisements on Your site – this article should be useful if You are just starting out, don’t know how it really works and also for people who use this service but already thinks about some optimizing and digging deeper. I just went it all through, so consider this as sharing with experience, resources and articles, which should help You understand and actually do better when You are thinking about starting to make money from what are You doing.

What really is Google Adsense?

At first You must know, how Your earnings are really counted -
1. Adsense Earning = Impression-count x Click-though-rate x Cost-per-click x smart-pricing-factor.
2. Click-through-rate (CTR) is ratio of clicks per impressions. It can range from 0.1% to 30%, but most commonly around 1% to 10%.
3. Cost-per-click (CPC) is the earning you get per click. While traditionally it refers to the amount advertisers pay for each click, it can also mean the amount publishers get for each click.
4.Smart-pricing is Adsense method to determine how valuable clicks from your site is worth. If clicks on your site doesn’t provide good value to advertisers, e.g. from visitors’ geo-location that seldom translate to sales, you will only get a fraction of the supposed CPC.

Caught In The Net

Online or web advertising is the next big thing in the sphere of advertising......

The Online pie is getting bigger and better. Of course with almost every youngster choosing to buy tickets or shop online or even home in on the optimum brand through the Internet, even conservatives are willing to put their thumb into it.
Until a few years ago most companies were unwilling to consider advertising on the Internet. But with most of the population in India getting tech savvy, companies are ready to invest 10-15 % of their spends to advertise on the web, say experts in this field.
As per Experts: “Online advertising does have its share of viewers but it is yet to reach its peak in India,” But, advertising online has definitely come a long way from those banner ad. Earlier, most agencies would just put up banner ads on major sites. This could be skipped as it would come in the way of most users. But now websites such as Google, Yahoo and MSN fall back on text-based advertising. When users search for material on the net, related text-ads are placed on the same page. This is most effective for financial and automobile services,
Internet has the power to reach out to one person at a time unlike television and radio ads and can engage consumers with a brand.
“It will grow very fast and will see its boom in five years, so ad filmmakers have to be ready for it.

Let's See!!!

Tips: Testing Campaigns

I was pondering for a while on the topic to post.At last managed to get a topic for today. The post would focus on few ideas to test new ad and creative type on live environment. When you traffickers receive any new creative/ad format which you wanted to know how it would look on the live publisher, here are the ways you can carry out this test.......

  • Live testing of campaigns MUST be executed in short time.Once the test ad is live, test what you needed, and turn it off instead running it for days(which is a huge mess).
  • Always check for the preview and click through on the ad server before going to make live.
  • If you wanted to do a quick test, book huge inventory, set highest priority, and scheduled it for one day(simply traffic as exclusive/roadblock campaigns). So this test ad becomes live as soon as the Ad server pushes.Note very very importantly this type of test should be finished in short time, say 10 ~15 min after the ad server pushes.Else, it would results in unnecessary impressions delivery and also would compete with other premium advertisements running. So be utmost careful while executing this.
  • Another good practice is to target.By this you actually reduce the competition with actual live ads scheduled.Pick the less traffic page group of the publisher to target.Usually the publisher would have less ads scheduled, so the possibility of competing is less
  • You can also geo-target .Idea is , you target the test ad to to your local(country/state/city)this way you narrow down and keep yourself out of competing with scheduled ads.
Hope this basic tips will Help a little bit, will back you soon with some other Ideas and tips for you.
